People's act of kindness

Hi there.

The past week had been a very long and tiring week for me. I had been here and there. I kind of not remembering my where about seconds after I woke up in the morning, daily. My training in the field give me such  a mental and physically tiredness, although I do enjoy the training, but I just don't have the time alone for myself. The week was later added on with stretch of meetings that giving me headache and pile of works. And that was very exhausting.

The whole week, I have been bragging about being demotivated and uninspirational. Towards the end of the week, I somehow being spiritually lifted up. I couldn't explain how it works, but anyhow, it helps a lot. It strike to me, I may have fail to pay my attention to those who are close to me. I mean, I have been bragging about myself, my worries the whole week but have I been missing other important things in other's life? Therefore, judging from my friends' facebook statuses, it gave me some clue of those who are bothered, and those who seems to be happy. So I browse through my contact list and give some calls. It was good to catch up, no worries about my phone bills. Some of my calls was left unattended though, but still it was a good effort. What I wanted to share here is , as I mentioned earlier, I am was mentally disturbed myself, but having checking up on some friends, surprisingly this odd phone therapy works for me. An addition of a good movie and good massage gave me better mind rest as well for the week.

I would like to share a priest homily from a Mass I attended. He told a story of an altar server, celebrating his 21st birthday. A normal teenage boy, would have wish to celebrate his birthday with his party friends, drinking, singing, dancing and got many birthday presents. However, this particular altar server, throw a big party for his 21st birthday, inviting the poor, the homeless and immigrants to come and celebrate his birthday together.

There's also this story of how a lady, donated 50% of her angpow collection during the Chinese New Year to the poor. On a different story, there's this bunch of schoolchildren, who wrote a letter to the priest informing the have been collecting money to help to build at least a roof for the poor. Somehow the money they collected was only enough to buy a few bricks.

My conclusion is, be kind to people, they might need it.

xoxo
